Adesso Has NO Clients on the ‘Forbes Top 25 Food & Beverage’ List

Adesso Has NO Clients on the Forbes Top 25 Food & Beverage List

However, We Make a Major Difference Supporting Small-Midsize North American CPG Manufacturers.

by Fred Schroeder

Other TPM providers in our industry have recently touted their penetration for various types of systems across the Forbes Global ‘Top 25 Food & Beverage’ list. Over half of this list is comprised of tobacco, alcohol and durables. However, we do not have, nor do we aspire to have, any clients on this list.

At Adesso, we hire team members that clearly have demonstrated a background and knowledge on the North American CPG market. Additionally, we focus our solutions around the uniqueness, challenges and opportunities. This includes our clients and ‘not yet’ clients who face trade spending every day – in the conventional retail segment and in the natural, specialty and organic segment.

Adesso Earns CGT AwardsThis focus has been recognized consistently by the Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) Readers’ Choice Award.

This Award annually recognizes the consumer goods industry’s top technology and service providers, as selected by their end users. With Adesso’s “SMB Market Leader for TPM” recognition, the CGT recently cited some of Adesso’s SMB clients. They called the company and its CPG-focused solutions:

  • “Responsive to our needs and always willing to help.”
  • “User-friendly and intuitive.”
  • “A great system to manage trade.”
“Very accommodating and easy to use.”
  • “Very simple to use — and it works.”
  • “The Adesso team is great to work with.”

In short, unlike others in our industry, we do not aim to serve the ‘Forbes Top 25 Food & Beverage Companies’, nor global conglomerates. Our client-partners are small to midsize CPG manufacturers in the North American market with similar challenges and opportunities. They look to effectively track and manage their trade spending and become more effective through a community-based approach.

So, If you are looking for the best TPM system, supporting services to improve usage from your team, and eliminate unnecessary administration – all at a fair price with immediate ROI, contact Adesso Solutions.

And feel free to ask our clients!

"One of our major objectives was to improve accountability. We previously used spreadsheets to allocate GL accounts to the right customers, and were limited to unofficial deal approvals through email. Flamingo TPM is easy to use, and has the functionality we need."

Adesso Earns Best-In-Class Distinction: POI Analysts Cite Client Collaboration, UX, Analytics & Value

Rolling Meadows, IL. September 6, 2018 – Adesso Solutions, a leading US provider of Trade Promotion Management solutions for North American small-midsized CPG companies, is excited to have once again earned the distinction “Best-in-Class” for External Collaboration in the 2018 TPx Vendor Panorama, published by Promotion Optimization Institute (POI).

As key POI analyst, Dale Hagemeyer notes, “We also like the way the company seeks to enable interactions between user organizations at its own seminars or other events to facilitate best practice transfer.” Hagemeyer also comments, “Client upgrade activity continues to be strong as a sign of satisfaction and commitment.”

Among some of the most noteworthy recognitions from this annual evaluation was for User Experience. “The UX has also improved significantly from last year. It is more graphically oriented. The ease of taking data into the “Offline Planner” is noteworthy. It is intuitive and easy to use,” said Hagemeyer. “For usability, POI rate Adesso UX as Above Average, due to the recent enhancements in dashboards, reports, and usability.”

The Vendor Panorama noted that Adesso’s Analytics have been enhanced substantially since the last report. “They are now a standard package that are role-based for both dashboards and reporting. We characterize the analytics as insightful and succinct. POI continues to rate Adesso Analytics as Above Average.” Said Hagemeyer
Once again, Promotion Optimization Institute described Adesso as “a complete TPM solution that is a good value for the money.” In particular, the report cited Adesso as “a steady, if not strong growth vendor, particularly in the SMB and natural foods market with a TPM-only solution focused solely on North America. The additional services around access to industry experts and outsourced system administration are a real plus and improve client satisfaction.”

Fred Schroeder, President & CEO at Adesso Solutions commented, “Client input and collaboration is key to our ongoing strategic initiatives and system improvements. We facilitate business process discussions for how to continually improve trade spending management and strategies.” He continued, “Our client-partners are therefore excited to upgrade, as new releases incorporate what the community needs next in their journey.”

What’s Up With Pricing?

by Fred Schroeder

I seem to have missed an email, or a blog, or maybe some ‘best practice’ introduced over the last year in regards to pricing. It seems that when someone asks you for a price for what you are selling, it now apparently means nothing. Later on, there seems to be this new practice where a prospective new client, who seems to be supporting us, is suddenly given the ‘new low price’ from a competitor.

Adesso Earns Best-In-Class Distinction: POI Analysts Cite Value, UX & Deep Industry Expertise

Rolling Meadows, IL. November 3, 2017 – Adesso Solutions, a leading US provider of Trade Promotion Management solutions for small and medium sized CPG companies, earned the distinction “Best-in-Class for External Collaboration” in the 2017 TPx Vendor Panorama, published by the analyst firm, Promotion Optimization Institute (POI). Among some of the most noteworthy recognitions from this annual evaluation was Adesso receiving mention about a stable and viable company that provides good value on the investment, with deep experience and a team that knows the industry. The Flamingo TPM system was described as an intuitive solution to use, with analytics focus for both the retail, foodservice as well as natural-specialty segments of the industry. Additionally, Adesso was complimented for its collaborative client-partner community, which enables client feedback into solution upgrades, and facilitates best practices transfer.

POI Partner and analyst, Dale Hagemeyer, rated Adesso’s offering as a “complete TPM solution that is a good value for the money.” Citing Adesso’s long-term focus on acquiring industry experts as an advantage to Tier 2 and 3 clients, Hagemeyer said, “The approach of staffing with industry, as opposed to technology, professionals can help those that are early in the TPM journey. To this end, it has an assessment process that is a very light consulting engagement, the result of which is an objective view of TPM readiness. What is rather unique is that the assessment may actually indicate that a company is not ready to launch into a TPM system deployment. We find few TPx companies that actually have the candor to recommend waiting as opposed to closing the deal.”

The POI analysts found Adesso’s TPM system to be “intuitive and easy to use,” which is an important distinction that is often highlighted by Adesso’s client-partners, as well as broker users. “Our primary focus is for our users to intuitively use the system, in order to manage the essential aspects of their everyday business”, said Fred Schroeder, President & CEO at Adesso Solutions. “With their trade spending effectively managed, our client-partners can make better decisions for their trade spending planning and strategies.”

Adesso is excited to have received praise of its analytical capabilities, a significant improvement and focus within Adesso’s services, which generated much excitement and business discussion within Adesso’s client community at the October Community Conference. POI cites “The addition of dashboards is a real plus and they are quite nice. We found that investment and focus on SMB analytical issues such as UNFI and KeHE deductions, accounting for indirect customers, and accommodating food service sales through a single solution have improved the offering. We would characterize the analytics as insightful and succinct. In particular, we like the ease of planning at various levels and, through configuration at the user group level, the updated dashboard to better monitor the business. Having multiple customers on a single calendar is good for avoiding overlapping promotions. Given the Excel orientation of the tool, it is appropriate that it include pivot tables. A report writer is also included.”

With client collaboration, candid feedback into the ongoing evolution of Adesso’s system and services, as well as best practices sharing being integral elements of the Adesso TPE Community, the distinction “Best-in-Class for External Collaboration” is especially meaningful to Adesso. As Dale Hagemeyer noted about this community, “with an enhancement request program that leads to prioritization and possible upgrades across the platform. Users then have the option of whether or not to deploy the new feature.” Hagemeyer also noted, “Client upgrade activity continues to be strong as a sign of satisfaction and commitment.” He continued, “We also like the way the company seeks to facilitate interactions between user organizations at its own seminars or other events to facilitate best practice transfer.”

Adesso’s 2nd Annual TPE Community Conference Wows Clients with Best Practices, Upcoming Product Direction (video)

Rolling Meadows, IL (April 22, 2016) – Adesso Solutions concluded another successful TPE Community Conference yesterday at Disney’s beautiful Yacht Club Resort and Convention Center. With a significant representation of clients in the CPG manufacturer industry, as well as guest speakers and Adesso’s internal team, attendees participated in interactive Trade Promotion Effectiveness group and panel discussions, industry-wide updates and learnings, and networking opportunities in Disney World’s creative and magical venues.

“The conference was very well put together.” said Tim Curtis, Controller at Olivio Premium Products. “Overall an enjoyable experience, with a great deal of learning and understanding of the direction of the Flamingo product. I loved the guest speakers, so it was fun at the same time.”

Keynote speaker, Rudy Ruettiger of the movie “Rudy” spoke about overcoming obstacles to get on the football team at Notre Dame, and received a standing ovation for his presentation about the journey he has taken, and how this journey has contributed to his successes in life.

At the conclusion of the conference, guest speaker and industry expert Dale Hagemeyer of Promotion Optimization Institute offered his reflections: “Lots of engaged people here at the Adesso event, looking to do the trade promotion thing better. The key to promotion is to move from transactional to analytical…to drive insights. It’s because insights are the currency of collaboration, real effectiveness.”

Vernetta McDowell, Director of sales and Operations at Reynolds Brands stated, “We got to really see for ourselves that some of what we take as challenges that are unique to our business really aren’t, and that as a collective community we’re all experiencing the same sorts of challenges. And not only hearing of challenges, but seeing how other groups have dealt with them has allowed us to walk away with some best practices. The other thing that was a key takeaway for us was looking at the next two iterations of Flamingo that are on the horizon. Some of the things that we are looking for have already been solved! Also, some of the things that we didn’t even really know are challenges for us, we’re seeing that there are some solutions out there, and realized we didn’t even know we needed that – but we do need it – and plan to take advantage of some of the features coming up.”

Client feedback has been overwhelming in continuing this annual event in the current location, and plans are already in place for the 2017 conference. “As always, this conference was a great opportunity to interact with our client community for a few days in a location that everyone enjoys,” said Fred Schroeder, President & CEO of Adesso Solutions. “The evolution of our clients’ Flamingo product is guided, to a large extent, by the business discussions that take place during our conferences, and it is a pleasure to discuss with them in a live group setting what’s coming up next, as well as how easy it is for them to migrate to the new release, which will bring their company to the next stage in their journey to Trade Promotion Effectiveness.”
